Case Study: Dam Chicken
In Conclusion
After two years of planning, building, and installation, we met with the restaurant staff to go over the final system, training and to prepare to open. Opening was set for April 2nd; however, on March 27th, 2020, the State of Wisconsin released their Safer at Home orders and shut down all in-person dining statewide. We quickly set up a virtual meeting to go over what that meant for their opening. We had consulted on and helped implement their point of sale system which supported a take-out solution. Combined with the network infrastructure already in place we were able to remotely complete and support the network and other necessary infrastructure to support an entirely take-out menu for curbside delivery.
We were able to help them open on April 2nd and we have helped them stay open through each of the changes in safety requirements and restrictions. Good planning, a strong network foundation and a support mechanism that allows most items to be resolved without having to go on-site keeps them running smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Having a single monthly payment for their solution helped reserve the capital needed to keep functioning in these difficult times and helped them avoid costly time and materials service calls that inevitably occur when opening a new establishment.
