Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We know that time is valuable to we will keep each section brief. As an added thank you, we will send you a $10 gift card for Dam Chicken – the restaurant featured in this journey. We have also asked the chefs to create a little video of their homemade empanadas. We will send you a link and the recipe if you would like to try to make some at home.

First, a little background: the owners of Dam Chicken started planning their restaurant in early 2018 and started construction in mid-2019. We were selected as their contractor for all the technology necessary to bring the restaurant to life. We offered a fully managed “as a service” solution. “As a Service” allows them to have a single monthly cost for all their technology and includes unlimited service, support, warranty, and the equipment rental.

The owners want to automate as much of the experience as possible for their customers. They wanted to make sure that their staff focused on great food and did not have to worry about technology. This was possible through automation and full support contracts.

Just like the building that was being remodeled, it is important for the foundation of all this technology to be strong, secure, and resilient. Our “As a Service” offering also includes unlimited support so we needed to make sure we could service or support the solution from anywhere at any time and to do so securely. For all those reasons we choose to build their foundation, their network, on a Cisco Meraki backbone.
